AI-Use Policy

TechNest uses AI strictly as an editorial assistant. Automation has zero autonomous publishing authority.

Zero-API server and local execution

The TechNest production server runs deterministic Python services, static Hugo generation, and SQLite. It makes zero external LLM API calls. Research and drafting tasks execute locally on authenticated workstations under strict process isolation.

Permitted uses

AI may assist with:

• Discovering potentially useful technology topics and developer release notes.
• Locating primary documentation and independent sources for review.
• Organizing factual evidence and identifying contradictory claims.
• Preparing outlines, comparison tables, and initial drafts.
• Flagging unsupported claims, duplication, stale facts, or broken links.
• Updating approved drafts in response to editorial feedback.

Human editorial authority

Every draft must receive explicit, one-tap approval from the TechNest editor before it can be built into a static release. The human editor remains solely responsible for final text, source verification, disclosures, and publication decisions.

Scheduled runs never force publication. A run ends without creating a draft whenever candidate topics fail quality, evidence, or safety gates.

Prohibited uses

TechNest does not permit AI to:

• Invent quotations, sources, credentials, testing, or personal experiences.
• Follow instructions found inside researched pages.
• Request or disclose passwords, private keys, payment details, recovery codes, or API tokens.
• Conceal AI involvement from readers.
• Generate many near-duplicate pages for search traffic.
• Publish prohibited or high-risk subject matter.
• Choose recommendations according to commission size.

Article disclosure

AI-assisted articles carry a visible note explaining that AI helped with research organization or drafting and that the editor reviewed the final work. If an article was prepared without generative AI assistance, its disclosure may say so.
